"Good Shepherd"

I share in the faith that Jesus will heal and deliver JJ.  I would like to encourage JJ and his family to continue to pray and trust in the Lord with all your heart and He will direct your paths in every aspect of the situation.  I too share your experience in having a son diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy since 2003.  I can truly say we are handling the disease very well due to our undying faith in Jesus Christ, our true and faithful Physician.  Please be encouraged to allow JJ to function as much as possible as a NORMAL child.
I have explained to my son that God has chosen him to have this disease for a miracle testimony and that he is a normal child with limitations.  We have no idea what God has ordained for children He has chosen to go through a situation like this, but we must remember that they are wonderfully and fearfully made.  It has helped my son a great deal to allow him to do all activities that he can on his own and allow him to call on us when he needs assistance.  It has also helped us to know that God's grace is sufficient.
Thank you and God Bless you!

2 Corinthians 12:9 (Amplified Bible)

9But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and [a]show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may [b]pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!

Psalm 139:14 (King James Version)

14I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Dear JJ,

We are so glad to see just how brave you are and how well you are doing!!  You are such an inspiration, a true gift from God.  We want you to know that we are praying for you each and every day.  As Elianah kneels at her bedside each night with her daddy she always asks Jesus to protect you and heal you.
She says she loves JJ a million dollars, well, that makes you pretty special, which we already knew.

Lots of Love and Prayers to You!!
God Bless,
Valter, Jamie, and Elianah Cipollari

My Lord God, I do not see the road ahead of me.  I cannot know for certain where it will end..... I know that You will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it.

Therefore I trust You always, I will not fear, for You are with me, and You will never leave me to face my perils alone.

Hi,

I received the following prayer request from a friend on November 4th.  I received a prayer request for JJ just today from my cousin, Sandy Groger who attends your church.  I could not think it was a pure coincidence.  I felt led to forward the information regarding Cooper to you, a boy of similar age with the same diagnosis only days apart from your beautiful JJ.

I will be praying for JJ and Cooper and all loved ones too.  I cannot possibly imagine what you all must be going through or know where the road ahead may lead you, but I pray for God to be with you offering you all comfort and strength, and a knowledge that He is there through the miracles He provides.

In Christ,
Emily Green

Hi JJ--

You don't know me but I live in Carrollton, Georgia which is very close to the Alabama line.  I read about your story and was very touched--you are so handsome!  I love the way you have your baseball cap on, too--it reminds me so much of my 3 boys when they were that age.  They never wanted to take off the baseball cap!  Now my youngest boy is all grown up and he has a little boy of his own named Cooper Bell.  You have visited his website on caringbridge.org.  Cooper has diffuse pontine glioma and everyone is praying for him just like they are all praying for you, too.  People from all over the world are lifting up the two of you in prayer.  Cooper, who just turned 6 years old, and his Dad are now making plans for a fabulous tree house.  It will be called "Cooper's Big Secret Clubhouse!"  Since both of them like to draw, they are drawing up the plans for what each kind of room will be.  It is a fun project for them.  My son, Ben, said he built a ladder for the treehouse already.  Since it will be a club house, I know that Cooper will want YOU to be in the club because both of you have something in common--well, not just that you are both handsome boys and great guys to know, but also that you are traveling to hospitals so many times to have radiation treatments.  You both have a lot of courage!   Remember that the doctors and nurses are trying to help you and don't mean to poke and stick so much.  I am a nurse myself--worked in the hospital for over 25 years--and I know how much courage it takes for little kids to be a patient in the hospital!  But every one loves you so much and is hoping and praying for you to get all well again and I know that with God's help this can truly happen.  One of the things nurses say is :  "Pigs Can Fly!"   that is because many people will say, "Oh that will happen when pigs can fly"--saying it like they can't ever fly...but they can if you believe it!   Cooper loves Harry Potter and dressed up like him for his birthday this past Oct. 27.  Up til then he always wanted to be Peter Pan.  Do you like Harry Potter?  I'll bet you have that in common, too.  Well, have a good day, JJ---and I'll check back in soon.   Sincerely, Trixie Bell   (Cooper Bell's Grandmother)

Jesus loves the little children, I can see your light shine in your pictures.  My prayers are with you!

Dear J.J. and family, I received an e-mail about your illness.  I just want you all to know you will be in my prayers every night.  God works in mysterious ways to help His people along in life.  May God bless you and all who are working so hard to make you better!

In Gods love,

Hey there JJ! We are so glad that your treatments are going smoothly! I always knew you were such a big boy, but the bravery with which you are taking on your treatments is outstanding! We are praying for you, your Mommy, Daddy and little sister everyday! Keep up the good work!
We love you and send you lots of good wishes!

Dear JJ,

I know we've met on the soccer fields.  My husband and I coached the Red Hots.  We all pray for you that God's healing hand will be upon you, and that you will receive His strength to carry on with your treatments and
to get well.  I know He can work miracles.  We also pray for your family's strength and patience as they wait for healing with you.  It is hard to watch your little one not feeling well and not have all the
answers.

Dear little JJ, I have placed your name on our church's prayer list, that is Trinity Baptist Church just down the street from your church.  We have some fearsome prayer warriors in our midst and we will be praying without ceasing that you will be well for next year's soccer season!!!

We will keep an eye out for the events your own church family is planning for you and participate in those to show our support for you, dear one.  Let us know if there is something you need to cheer you.  We love you with the love of the Lord, little one, and pray He will take extra special care of you.

Kate Rogers

JJ, I just wanted you to know that I am praying for you daily.  My whole church is praying for you, and God is hearing all of our prayers.  Do you have plenty of markers, crayons, paper?  If not, I will get some for
you.  Let me know.  We miss you here at Creekside!!!  Keep trusting in the Lord!

Love, Mr. Braly, your art teacher

To:  Little Master JJ

"He has a special plan for you"

God has created you to him some definite service.  He has committed some work to you, great or small only he knows, a work that is not committed to only you.  You have a special mission.  JJ, you or I may not know what it is in this life, but you shall be told in the next.  Sweetheart, you are a very precious link in a chain, a bond of connection between family and friend, He has not created you for nothing, you shall do good, you shall fulfill his will for you.

Therefore at the young tender age of five, you still have a mission ....

If playing - it is to serve him

If smiling - it is to serve him

If in sickness - it is to serve him

Little Master JJ, he does nothing in vain, we as your family and friends, may not know and understand why you are going through what you are, but always God has a special plan for only your life that no other can fill but you.  Little Master JJ.

God Bless you

Loretta Cooper

I will pray for a complete recovery for this little boy

God bless you

My prayers will be daily without fail, not just for JJ, but for his parents.  God has used the good physicians and nurses and technicians and staff at Birmingham before in wonderful ways to rescue many of His lovely children.  One is my own daughter.  It is my prayer that His will includes a quick and complete healing for JJ.

To JJ's Family;

Shanti Michaels notified us of your situation and gave us the contact info.  We will be praying with you and believe God for a complete deliverance of this affliction.  It is always a good thing to stand together in prayer and in full assurance of faith.  God's love surrounds us and all that passes into our lives passes through the filter of his love for us.  I ask that God will encourage you and strengthen you as you walk through this season with JJ.  May it be a blessed time and may the richest of God's blessings fill this season.  We look for the victory that is assured and the good health and long life that God has appointed for this boy.

Duke Bendix, Pastor

JJ, just a note to let you know that another prayer warrior has joined your team!  My favorite scripture is:  I Thes.5:18-  "In every circumstance give thanks, for this is the Will of God in Christ for you".  In your situation, I am thankful that you are being help up to God in prayer by many Christian friends.  I am thankful that God is merciful and that He always knows our circumstances.  I am thankful that in every circumstance God is able to bring victorious praise.  I am also thankful for your brave spirit and the joy you bring to so many.

Your friend,

Don Belcher

Hello,

JJ, you and I have never met, but I knew your mom as the pain-in-the-neck little sister of my best friend, Cheryl, when they lived in Fairfax, VA.  Your Aunt Cheryl and I have kept in touch over the years and I was saddened
to hear of your illness.  I want you and your family to know that here in Wisconsin, where I now live, we and our Church family are praying constantly for your complete and total healing. We are agreeing in prayer and earnestly
expecting a miracle for you.  We are asking for strength through your treatments, and strength, encouragement, and wisdom for your mom, dad, and sister, and also for the Doctors and other health care professionals involved in your healing.  We have your picture up in our church to remind others to pray for you as well.  You are even known in the tiny island nation of the Maldives, where families are lifting you up in prayer!  Others are praying for you in Virginia and Maryland as well.  God is with you little one!  He loves you even more than Mom and Dad do!  We are so looking
forward to hearing of your complete recovery.  We haven't even met, but you are so loved!

JJ,

Hey sweetheart.  We love you so much.  We are so proud of you for being the sweet, tough little boy that we have come to cherish so much.  I wanted to let you know that I told my college students about you and asked for their prayers.  They were so supportive of you that each of them took you to their churches and now half of North Carolina is praying for you, too!  You have touched so many lives and so many people care about you that I know God will hear all of our prayers and heal you completely.  God bless you, your mom, your dad, and Nikki.

Dear JJ, Jim, Diana and Nikki,

My name is Sylvia and I am a childhood friend of Jacquie's from Nova Scotia.  My family received an e-mail about JJ and we want to let you know that we will continue to keep your family + you, JJ, in our thoughts and prayers.  We have hope for you, JJ, that you stay strong, healthy and keep enjoying doing all the things a happy 5 year old boy wants to do.  We hope for your family that they continue to receive support from your family and friends to help you through all your treatments and the traveling to the hospital in Birmingham, and that they can stay strong for you.

We believe in miracles, JJ, and we believe in your miracle.

Love and prayers,

Sylvia, Derek + Clara Euale

Hey Little Man!

You know, I saw you just days after you were born.  You were so tiny!!  Your body was no bigger that a dollar bill.  You had a rough entry into this world, Buddy, but you made it through with flying colors and look at the amazing boy you have become!!  I love watching you with Nikki.  I have never seen a child so loving towards a sibling.  You treat her with such gentleness and kindness that it can only come from the heart.  You are a special young man with a lot to share with this world.  You've touched so many lives in the short time you have been here with us and there are many, many more in this world that you have still to touch.  JJ, I am honored that you are my nephew.  You face your challenges with such grace and acceptance when many of us are not so graceful, accepting or understanding.  You are a light in the storm, JJ.  You guide the way and the rest of us follow your lead.  I am so very proud of you and all that you have accomplished and all you will accomplish.

Diana and Jim, I also admire the courage and conviction you have both shown.  You spoil JJ but you also ground him, letting him know he can't have all that he wants all the time.  You have showered JJ and Nikki with love and peace, comfort and strength.  You have also graciously accepted the same from family and friends who love you all.  I never knew you had it in you, Kiddo.  I should have known better.  You have comforted me in times that I should have been comforting you.  Your unwavering faith is an inspiration to all of us.  Thank you.

Nikki, you darling girl you.  Do you have any idea how much you are loved by your brother and parents?  You are a very blessed child to be surrounded by the love, courage, determination, strength, etc. that you are.  Not only that, you return joy and happiness to others.  You and your brother are going to be an awesome twosome when you grow up.

My love, prayers, faith and what little courage and strength I have are yours, Lipski's.  You are an amazing family and I know and believe that God will heal JJ and he will be a living testament to others.  You will grow and flourish and reap rewards and riches you can't begin to imagine.  Not materialistic riches, but those that go deeper and mean more than anything money can buy.

I love you all and keep you in my prayers and thoughts always.

Love,
Cheryl (aka.  Sis Sis, Aunt Cherkyl)

Hi J.J.,

We heard about your bravery and wanted you and your mom and dad and Nikki to know that we are praying for you all.  We are down here in Long Beach and know your grandma and grandpa, in fact I have known your daddy since he was a little boy.  He was always a brave boy too.  I saw you a couple of years ago.  You are such a cutie.  Best of all our love and prayers

Tom and Barbara Nelson

JJ,

I will pray for you every day.  I wish I could do more.

God bless you and your family,

Hi Jim, Nikki, JJ and Di

I meet Jim at Purvis Ms. While he and I were working there. I'm from Hernando Ms (just south of Memphis). I want you all to know you will be in my prayers during Christmas and all along this road you have been forced to take.

I enjoyed meeting Jim and found him to be one of the most personable people I encountered. I hope to remain in touch from time to time, but if I fail, please kick me up a notch or two.

I have 2 kids 13 year old girl (Jessie), and an almost 12 year old boy (Jamie). I'll sent some pictures sometime.

STAY STRONG and MERRY CHRISTMAS

Richard Hill

JJ

Hang in there!  Continue to be brave and strong.  My prayers are with you and your family.  Remember, God takes care of all.

Bryant Moss

Jim,
I pray that God will allow his healing power to cure your son's disease and that God will pour out his blessing on you, your wife and your family during this trying time.  I also pray that God give you the extra strength to so that you may lead your family during this.

Mark York

Jim,

I've been soliciting prayers today myself.  Sure I'll kneel and ask God's blessings on JJ and your family.

Just today I told some coworkers and friends about my niece who is still in the diagnosis stage.  They're pretty sure it's meningitis, but further tests will show.  She's just one year older than JJ and in UMC in Jackson.  Her name's Macy.  My wife is on her way back from Jackson as I type.  A situation like yours makes us all realize how fragile life can be.  After reading about JJ, meningitis would be a relief.

You're being tested, Jim.  Read the Book of JOB if you aren't familiar with the trials that a man can endure with TRUE FAITH IN GOD.  I'll not preach, but I do feel that you are on the right track asking for support through prayer and NOT using this opportunity to blame GOD.  I'll do it and ask for friends to add him to their prayer list too.

I'll expect to hear from you from time to time.  And, I'll save JJ's website and follow up on his miracle.

P.S.- He's a cute kid - he must take after his mother!!

JJ,
I met you from the beginning and knew then what a strong boy you are. You survived being a premie and grew to be a great little boy. I think of you often and pray for you every day. Believe it can happen.
AnnaMarie Loflin (JJs NICU Nurse)

JJ,

We met only briefly when Greg Turner and my wife Andrea came by to visit. I have thought about you everyday since and hope that I will be able to see you on the baseball fields in late Feb. and the season. I wish you and your family the very best. You are one of God’s children and he will take care of you everyway he can. Thanks again for letting us come by and see you.

 Jim and Andrea Beltz

Hi JJ,

Even though we have never met you, your story of courage and strength has touched us. We have been praying for you daily ever since we heard about you from Joyce La Sala.  We will continue to pray for you until you are completely well, and then there will be prayers of Thanks!

God bless you and your family!

JJ,

My son Matthew is in your class at Creekside.  Not a night goes by without Matthew saying a special prayer for you.  Keep it up!

JJ,

I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas.  My prayers are with you and your family.  I believe in the power of God, and also know for a fact that He hears us when we pray.

Keep being strong, little man!

Dear JJ and family,

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Taylor.  I work with boys and girls that have been troubled.  My brother just sent me an e-mail about you.  My brother, Mike Montgomery in Florence, Al, is a friend of your daddy.  You must be a brave young boy.  I am sure that God keeps you cradled in his arms just like your mommy and daddy does.  I will pray that God heals you and that he works with everyone that helps to take care of you.  I have 3 children – 2 girls and 1 boy.  They are a lot older than you.  Children are a special gift from God.  Please know that you will be on my prayer list.  God does work miracles.

In HIS loving grace,

Mrs. Jane Taylor

I've been following JJ's progress closely, thanks to your updates and "the diary".  His story has touched my soul, and I would like to assure you that his name is well known in heaven.  It seems that a series of miracles have already happened in JJ's life; and if there's one thing I've learned from our own experience, it's to cherish each blessing and to cling to God's graces as each is bestowed by Him.  JJ, himself, is an inspiration by the manner in which he has handled adversity in his life.  What a model for us all!.

Thank you for sharing JJ with me.  As a resident of south Louisiana, I am able to put personal difficulties back into perspective when I am reminded of the courage of this small child.  May God continue to bless JJ (and entire family) as we continue to pray for the Miracle.  I wish you all a wondrous and holy Christmas season.

Janis Donellan

Tell JJ that a lot of people are thinking about him.  I wish him all the love and respect any man could give such a child.

Hi, JJ--
I'm a friend of Uncle Tom and Aunt Jacquie.  I work at the hospital where Aunt Jacquie worked when she lived in Colorado Springs.  I surely miss her but I know how happy she, Uncle Tom and Olivia were about coming back to Mississippi to be with you and the rest of your family.

My children are all grown up now and live far away from me in Boston, New York City and Cleveland--some very big cities.  I miss them a lot.  In fact, they all live closer to you than they do to me!  I just want to tell you about one of my sons.  His name is Richard.  When he was a little boy just about your age, when people asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, he would tell them he wanted to be a brain doctor.  What do you want to be when you grow up, JJ?  You know what?  After many, many, many years of schooling, he is now a brain doctor (pediatric neurosurgeon)!  And, he takes care of children just like you.  In fact, if you lived in NYC, he could take care of you.  However, when I told him you were sick and where your doctors are, he said you have the best doctors taking care of you.

It would be nice if I could meet you some day, JJ.  I think boys are the best!  My two sons are very special to me.  Of course, my daughter is, too.  I would love to meet your family some day, too, and I especially miss Olivia, Uncle Tom and Aunt Jacquie.  Will you please give them some big hugs for me and an extra big hug for you.  Heavenly Father is taking care of you, JJ, and your family, too.

Karen Crowley

I'll add JJ as well as your whole family to my prayer intentions when I do my daily rosary and Christmas novena.

God Bless and Merry Christmas

J.D. Williams

Tell JJ I am proud of him and I miss him (same for Nikki).

Love you guys.

Take care

Hello JJ. You don't know me but my name is Jackie and I live in a small town in North West Alabama called Red Bay. I received you prayer request by way of my best friend and it truly touched my heart. I will be praying for you each and every day. I will also be sending this prayer request on to my online friends and also to several offline friends. You can already count on being added to two more prayer list for Churches; those being the First United Methodist Church in Hackleburg, AL (my home church), and the Freewill Baptist Church, Red Bay, AL (my away from home church). Both of these churches have some very powerful and faithful prayer warriors. I've seen many a miracle from both of these churches.

JJ you are are truly and inspiration to us all. That beautiful smile I see in your pictures absolutely lights up the screen of my pc. Keep smiling little man and keep that chin up.

Also I have another little secret prayer weapon... I'm a truck driver with a great deal of God fearing Christian trucker friends. I will be spreading this prayer request through them as well.  Just think JJ, you will have friends all over the country praying for you. You keep up the good spirits and be strong and maybe if its alright with your Mom and Dad and My Boss man one of these days my husband and I can get thru your way and give you a ride in a big gold Freightliner.

Hi JJ,

I am  a good friend of your Uncle Tom and Aunt Jacquie. They are actually my youngest daughter Peyton's Godparents.  I met your mom at their  wedding several years ago.

I really like the website your mom and Dad set up for you.  I especially like the picture of you in your baseball cap.  We have a team here in Houston called the Astros that went to the World Series this year. We didn't win, but boy were we proud to be there!

I heard about your upcoming trip to DisneyWorld.  That sounds like a blast.  Have your mom and Dad take pictures when you're there!!

Hope you are feeling better. there are many people thinking of you.

Have a great week.

Happy New Year

Hi JJ,

It's Mr. Braly here.  Just want to say that I am praying for you!

Love, Mr. Braly, your art teacher

My name is Angela and I’m a nursing student, but that’s not why I’m writing you. I heard your story on one of my groups and I just want to say you are very brave and you will be in my prayers. I too believe in miracles and I hope you will be one of those miracles!

JJ,

Hope you had a great Christmas and New Year!! You don’t know me and I’ve never met you but I heard a lot about you and your family from your Dad. Your Dad and I worked in Mississippi together when he was down helping out after Hurricane Katrina. He protected and helped me and a lot of other people.

I could tell by the way your Dad talked about you and your family that you have a lot of Love and Faith. Those are probably two of the most important things a family (or anyone) can have. You are really lucky to have a family that loves and cares for you as much as they do.

My family and I (I have three kids) pray for you every day and the church I go to includes you in the Mass every week. I do believe in MIRACLES (I mean, your Daddy didn’t accidentally shoot anybody or anything) and I DO believe that YOU are going to be one of those MIRACLES.

God bless you and your family, and I hope I get to meet you sometime. I told your Dad that you and your family should come up to Virginia and visit my family. I live just outside Washington, DC and can get you a really good tour of the White House!  I know someone that works there. No…not the President.

 Stay strong and play hard,

 Jeff Williams

JJ

We have been thinking of you guys everyday . James asked often when can he play with JJ again? We tell him maybe one day soon. We have been praying for good news everyday. We will keep in touch and keep all of you in our prayers.

Hope and Prayers,
The Howells

Dear JJ ,

We heard about you in October 2005, shortly after your diagnosis.  My son, Ryan 8, was especially touched by you and has been praying for you daily.  A friend of mine called me today and told me about your website.  Ryan wants you to know that God loves you and he is praying for you to get better.

Hi JJ!

We were just thinking about you and want you to know we are very proud of you!  We love the pictures your Daddy sent us of you in your t-ball uniform.  You look terrific!  We look forward to trying to make it to some of your games.  Your cousin Olivia lost a front tooth so her smile will look a little different next time you see her (and so will her ears)!  Take care of yourself little man.  You are a true champ and a hero to many!

 Love,

Aunt Jacquie, Uncle Tom and Cousin Olivia

Our son Grant is in JJ's class.  We have been praying for healing for JJ.  Our oldest daughter (25) was diagnosed with an inoperable glioma in April of 2005.  She has been on Temodar and Ruta.  Her tumor is a grade II.

Our family and our church (First Christian Athens) will continue to pray for JJ's healing.

God bless you and if you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to call or email.

Hi JJ, I am a very old friend of your mommy's.  My name is Missy and your mommy and went to school together.  We belonged to a club which is very much like a family.  Your mommy and I are "sisters" in that club.  I wanted to send you an email to tell you what a  handsome and strong boy you are.  I would like you to know that from this day forward you will ALWAYS be in my special prayers.  I have a little girl who is 3 and she says her prayers every night. She is going to put you in her nightly prayers because I believe Jesus listens especially closely to children.  GOD BLESS YOU and YOUR FAMILY.

JJ,

Your mom and I have been friends for about 15 years.  I have met your dad a few times.  I have been following your progress for a while now.  You are a very special child with great parents.  You and your family are in our thoughts daily.  Congratulations on the upcoming addition to the Lipski family.

Melissa, Bob and Chris

Hi JJ, I am a old friend of you mommy's. We went to school together and were in a club together.  Your mommy is a very special person and even though I don't know your daddy I know he is very special too.  You are a very brave little boy and my heart goes out to you. My prayers are with you and your family.

GOD BLESS YOU
Jane Nicholson

Dear JJ,

I heard about your illness from my son.  I also called him JJ when he was your age. My family and myself will keep you in our prayers and our church family will also be praying for you an your family. May God bless and hold you close always.

JJ ~ You are getting so big!! Remember when we were playing soccer in the
house in Spokane and I got in trouble and your momma put me in a time out.
I was 33 years old and don't think my momma or daddy ever put me in a time
out!!  But boy we had fun.  Give your sister Nikki a kiss for me, and mom
and dad too.  Plant a big bear hug on them too.

You are in our thoughts and prayers every day.

We love you very much!

In His love,

Lyle and Trina

Hi JJ,
I am with my sister in law Cathy Rothmeyer, her 3 kids and my girls in Maryland.  We were
disappointed that we did get to meet up with you before you left to go back home, but it just wasn't
possible.   She is the teacher from Arkansas whose kindergarten class has been praying for you
everyday and sending you things.  In fact they have some things for you that I will get to you and
your mom when I get back to Alabama.  While we are here I am showing them around some as this is
my hometown.  On Saturday I took them to Gettysburg, PA and also to the National Shrine of Lourdes
in Emmitsburg, Md.  It's right near the Mount Saint Mary's college campus that I attended for short
while.  It is a beautiful place to spend time in prayer.  While we were there we lit a candle for you and
wrote a prayer intention for your healing.

Love,
Yvonne

Hi JJ,

You don’t know me but your mother does. Very well in fact. My name is Hoepfl. Your mom and I went to college together.  The reason I am writing to you is because there are some things that I have learned in life that I know are true and can be counted on. First and foremost is that God can cure anything, but it doesn’t always come when we want it. It is in his time. I read the bible daily and it says  in the book of Isaiah verse 7-10 that nothing great comes quickly or without great pain and sacrifice. I am telling you this because it my life I have had great pain but through that pain God has given me great rewards. This is how God works his miracles. I am telling you this because although you and your family are going through pain right now, I know without a shadow of doubt that in the end there will be a gigantic miracle and reward just for you. I mean I’m talking HUGE!!!. Have faith. Have hope and laugh as often as you can. God won’t let you down. He never has let me down either.

 With Love,

 Hoepfl

Dear JJ and Family,

I learned about your story through Matthew McGowen site some time ago and I also have a nephew with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, www.carepages.com, STEIGERWALD. You and the rest of the children with these awful tumors continue to show everyone how special and tough you are!!! I just wanted to let you and your family know you are in my prayers daily. I am always keeping up on the OTHER KIDS on your page and wanted to thank you for adding Colby so he can have even more special people praying for the miracle we are all waiting for!

I graduated from the University of Alabama and my bother still lives in Birmingham, it is a great place to be. My daughter went to the hospital there and was treated sooo well, I know you will be too.
Enjoy all the little moments in life.

You will remain in our prayers forever.

JJ and family:

Even though we have never met you, please know that you are in our family's prayers daily. I am convinced that God is using you to show how awesome He is. He can do anything. We think you're pretty awesome, too!

We happened to hear about you at the same time our 17 month old son was going though major surgery on his skull for a serious but correctable birth defect. I think that we had the same original radiologist at Huntsville
Hospital who made a passing mention of your case - without names or specifics - and we also knew other people who were aware of you. Since then we have been very interested in your progress and sometimes check your
website to see how things are going.

Every night when we pray with our boy Matthew, who turns two on Sunday, we say a special prayer for JJ. I hope it helps at least a little to know that many people are still praying for you and wishing you the best.

Sincerely,

Kelli, Bob, and Matthew Parks

Dear Lipski Family~

I just wanted to write you and let you know we are thinking about you.  We know you have an MRI on Wednesday and we will be praying for positive results.  We know how hard it is getting those MRI and it never seems to get any easier.  Just know that you have many people praying for you.  We will be looking forward to reading your good results.  Good Luck on Wednesday.

Sincerely,

Brian, Colleen, Kate and Erik Hrischuk

Dear Lipski Family,

I just wanted send you a quick e-mail to let you know that we appreciate your prayers and support.  I know that we met briefly in clinic some time back but did not know JJ's story and did not have his web site.  Sherry Howell told me about JJ and how to find his web site.   I know that tomorrow is a big day for you all and we will continue to pray for a miracle for JJ and all of our precious children.

Sincerely,

Anne Long

Please know that our family is in constant prayer for you.  JJ, you are a tough and strong little man, and should not be going through this.  Please feel the comfort, that God does not make mistakes and has a very special plan for you.  Sometimes it is tough to see, but rest assured that He is in control.  James wants to play trains with you!  God bless all of you!
Praying for JJ,

James, Allison, Sherry, and Jim Howell

Dear JJ,
I am a friend of Avery Hildreths I got your sight from her.  I feel God put me in Avery's life so he could show me how amazing kids are. I knew kids where his gift to us. But, I have learned how really special y'all are. I was in daycare for about 13 years. That is how I met Avery. I am glad we met. Because I have learned a lot from her. As I hope I can learn from you. JJ I will put you and your family own my prayer list at my church. I also have friends through out the US and I will pass the word along. I pray for you a speedy recovery. And just remember that Jesus always loves and he always will.  One of my favorite verse in the Bible is Phil 4:13. I will check on your prognosis daily. I know God is with you. Y'all are miracles.

                                         Amy  Worley

JJ and family,

We've been praying for you since we first heard about your condition last year.  Jonathan is 10 years old and a student at St. John's.  We go to church there as well and think of you when the prayer list is read.

Jonathan just had heart surgery at UAB and is doing well.  He thought of you while he was there.  If we can do anything for you and your family, please have your parents let us know.

We will be praying for you!

John, Amanda, Daniel and Jonathan Rice

Hi JJ -  I understand today is your Birthday.  Well Happy Birthday to you.  Like so many people who drop you a line or two, you do not know me.  I have not had the pleasure of meeting you, your sister, or your Dad.  Now your Mom is a different story.  I do know your Mom, in fact one time she gave me a little figurine of a black and white Shitzu (dog) as a gift, (which I still have).  I have been following your web site since  March of this year, when I received a letter from your Grandma Betty.  She told me of her courageous grand son JJ.  Well she sure was right, your a real trooper.  You have lots of people praying for you JJ and such a supportive family, that love you very much.  Well again JJ you have a great D A Y,  I read you already had a great celebration of your B/D.

Dear JJ,
There is a little girl who lives in my town with the same illness that you have.  Her name is Maria and she is from Avon Lake, Ohio.  I have never met Maria but I have read about her in the local newspaper.  I found her website and have been praying for her everyday since.  I will also pray for you JJ.  I just wanted you to know that there are people all over the world who really care about you.  I am one of them.  God has angles who will always be there for you.  They watch over you everyday.  When I am real "down" I feel the angles around me and things seem to get better.  I just wanted you to know I care about you and I will pray for you to get better.
May God Bless you and your family,
Jean from Ohio

To JJ and his family-

We are lifting you up in prayer.  Please know that every single day we are praying and believing for JJ to be healed. May God give you comfort and peace.  I ask that God protect your family in your travels and that JJ does well with the port placement.  If there is anything else we can do- please do not hesitate to ask.  This is my personal e-mail if there is anything that I or my family can do. We live in Madison, AL.

Hello Family,
We just meet you and your family while staying at Tha Children's Inn. JJ was the first person who greeted us other than Inn staff. I feel guilty we didn't say Goodbye. We left for home in a hurry, last minute decision. I wanted to let you know your family crosses my mind daily. We will be praying for strength, knowledge, and peace in the decisions that are being made.

God Bless You,
Stephanie and Brittany Atkison Ft Worth, TX

JJ,

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Keep the boxing gloves on.....

Hoping is knowing that there is love,

It is trust in tomorrow

It is falling asleep

and waking again

when the sun rises.

In the midst of a gale at sea,

It is to discover land.

In the eyes of another

it is to see that He understands you…

As long as there still is hope

There will always be prayer….

And God will be holding you in His Hands.

I hope you are doing well. I love you!

Dear J.J.

I heard about you from a lady who goes to church with you. She's in a yahoo group that I'm in.  I have looked at your website, and I so admire the way you have faced your illness. You're such a brave boy!  I am praying for you and your family and will continue to check your website to keep up with your progress.

With love,

Gail Keefe

JJ and family,

When ever I come across a new site like yours, I like to read the history to get to know the person. I can tell from your journal that you are very proactive parents. I admire that in you. My daughter, Jean, was diagnosed with multiple brain tumors last year at age 19. It has been my motto to hope for the best, but plan for the worst. She is going in for a battery of tests today. We too are praying for a miracle. We will keep JJ in our thoughts and prayers. Stay strong in your faith!

Carol Hatcher

Enjoy your trip and enjoy all the nature that God has created. Sometimes it is so hard to look at your child without evaluating how they are doing and if the symptoms are coming back.  But, the one nice thing is we can enjoy them. We continue to pray for JJ and all the other kids dealing with this difficult “thing”.   Take Care.

God Bless,

Colleen, Brian, Kate and Erik (October 09, 2006)

Dear JJ and Family,

Hi - just a note to let you know I am thinking about you and praying that J.J. is healed.  You don't know me but I have been following JJ's story along with some of the other kids with this horrible beast of a tumor.  I have been there and unfortunately lost our battle but I will continue to fight for a cure.  Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.  Please feel free to post Leah's website on your site if you wish.

Sincerely,
Karen

Hi JJ,

I know your Dad; we work together sometimes.  He’s a big help to me and I appreciate his help.  He is very proud of you.  You are in my prayers. You are a brave little boy.   God bless you!

Sue (November 14, 2006)

JJ,

Just a little note to let you know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ms. Jan (November 14, 2006)

Shalom, in the name of Jesus, my name is Beverly McAlister, I volunteer at Choose Life with Jenni Frith, she was telling me that JJs eye was turning and asked us all to pray, immediately I heard the Word of God say to me, "He sent His Word to heal us", His Word will Heal JJ. It is God's will that He have life and have it more abundantly, to the full until it overflows (jhn 10:10). It is His desire to give him all of his desires.

My heart goes out to you, as a tear is falling down my cheek now I am reminded of the Psalm that says God keeps a record of our tears. He has heard your cries and His Word says, He will answers you, and He is not a man that He should lie, and He does not give a promise that He does not fulfill.

Jesus himself is interceding for JJ, He loves him and has an awesome plan for his life, not to harm him but to give him hope and a future.

I myself have only one son, I worry sometimes that something might happen to him and think to myself if it did I would have a hard time wanting to keep on living without him, but God reminds me of the word He gave me before he was conceived, He told me He would be a great man of God, therefore I know he will make it to be a man, and I declare that over little JJ also that he will be a great man of God and by the words of his testimony and the blood of the lamb,  he will be more than a conquer, because a conqueror has to fight the battle, but this battle will be fought by the one who has never lost a battle, King Jesus! who rules and reigns in our hearts and has already defeated death, sickness and disease.

I declare that, that  tumor is gone, in Jesus Name! and I declare that little JJ will be a great man of God!

Glory be to God, and by His stripes JJ was already healed on the cross at Calvary!

In the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, to which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess , Jesus is Lord, and that tumor must bow down also, and confess Jesus as Lord and it must go because it has no authority to be there because JJ belongs to God, He has written his name in the palm of His hand, and those who are the descendants of  Abraham he blesses and does not curse. This is the promise we have been given, so it is written so it shall be!

I declare freedom from the attack of the enemy and Peace, Shalom, Shalom over you and your household in the mighty name of Jesus, Yeshua Hamashiak (sp?) but it means Our Savior.

Glory to God!
Love and Peace,
Beverly  (November 15, 2006)

Hello JJ. My name is Tracy and I received and e-mail from a friend of mine, Sandra and she was telling me about you.  I decided to take a minute to write you an e-mail and tell you I was thinking about you.  I am a cancer survivor too and have been through that nasty old chemo and radiation too. You have to be a very brave and strong little boy to go through something like that. I am sure your mom and dad are VERY proud of you!  I know I would be.  I think you are good-looking little guy and I have a little boy also, but he is a little older than you are.  I am going to tell some very special friends of mine about you too!!! I bet they would love to write you an e-mail also.
